National Horse Racing Museum

Situated next to the imposing Jockey Club building on the High Street and the National Stud on the outskirts of town, this museum gives a fascinating insight into the horse racing industry.

A popular regular attraction is the mechanical horse where you get the chance to put on racing silks and hat and try out your racing skill with a full mirror to see how you look!

Guided tours of Newmarket's horseracing facilities are available and can be booked at the museum (additional cost). Tours include visits to the gallops, a trainer's yard and the horses' swimming pool.

The museum is open daily 10:00 - 17:00, April to October; Closed Mondays except July, August and Bank Holidays. Shop with wide range of gifts and souvenirs and Café open all year.
